About Sup'Biotech
The Biology and Chemistry laboratories enable students to carry-out experiments and projects in the best conditions of execution and security.
Between Paris and Villejuif, it enables students to work in the best conditions of organization and proximity, all the basic practical lessons of the cursus.
The laboratories are in Villejuif, Paris 13 (in the ETSL labs) and at the CNAM in Paris 3.
In Paris, the practical experiments covered are:
- organic chemistry,
- molecular biology,
- microbiology,
- and immunology.
In Villejuif, the practical experiments covered are:
- general chemistry,
- inorganic chemistry,
- biochemistry,
- and general biology.
Here some examples of the experiments done in the laboratories at Sup’Biotech :
- Enzymology: study of the enzymatic kinetic reaction.
- Biochemistry: separation of protein by exclusion chromatography.
- Structural biochemistry: study the necessary conditions for crystallization of lysozyme. Quantitative detection of peptides by the Edman test.
- General Chemistry: Water analysis, calcium and magnesium ions dosage. Water toughness calculation. Study and dosage of B6 vitamin: spectroscopic analysis, Kab determination, quantitative dosage of a pharmaceutical preparation. Study of potential-pH figures of the water-iron system.
- Chemistry of Complexes: study of complex copper II, iron II and iron I, modification of oxidoreduction properties of complexes, studies of complex relative stability and complex titration.
Bio Information Research Laboratory

Sup'Biotech has launched a research interface between computer science and biotechnologies: subjects relating to biology and computational chemistry for applied research projects ranging from health to environment or from genomes to therapeutic molecules.

Laboratory materials
- Cellular culture: Production chain of ultra-pure water, bacterial incubator, orbital platform agitator, autoclave, laminar flux hood, sonicator, cryoconservation, cooled centrifugation, ice machine.
- Molecular biology: PCR system, electrophoresis system for nucleic acid UV analysis bench.
- Biochemistry: Electrophoresis system for protein, uv-vis spectrophotometer.
- Heavy equipment: HPLC, scanning electron microscope, Infrared spectrometer.
