Parc Astérix

Parc Astérix is a theme amusement park, based on the stories of the famous French “Asterix” comic. Situated approximately 35 km (22 mi) north of Paris and 32 km (20 mi) from Disneyland Resort Paris, in “Plailly” in the region of Oise, it opened in 1989.
It is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historical cultures such as the Romans and the ancient Greeks.

Futuroscope

Futuroscope is a French theme park based on multimedia, cinematographic futuroscope and audio-visual techniques. It has several 3D cinemas and a few 4D cinemas along with other attractions and shows, some of which are the only examples in the world.
It is located in the region of Vienne, 10 kilometres north of Poitiers, on the territory of the communes of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Clan. The park had 1.826 million visitors in 2010. In total, 40 million visitors have been to the park since it opened in 1987.

Nigloland

Nigloland is an amusement park located in Dolancourt, in the region of Aube. For years, Nigloland has been quoted as one of the best theme park of France. With more than 500,000 visitors per season, that makes it the 3rd most famous park of France, just behind Disneyland and the Parc Astérix.

Nature park & Zoos

Paris-Cineaqua’s aquarium

Paris-Cineaqua’s aquarium is an aquarium located under the hill of Chaillot between the Trocadero and the Seine River in the 16th district. The tour covers 3,500 m2 underground. It hosts around 500 species of fish and invertebrates and has about 9,000 specimens (except plants). The Polynesian area includes 600 coral. The Great Tank contains 30 sharks of four different species in three million liters of water. Therefore, it is the largest artificial basin in France. In total, four million liters of water are divided into 43 ponds and large aquariums, of which 500,000 liters of the “Aquastudio” makes an attraction with his glass of 34 cm thick and weighing 24 tons.

The Amnéville Zoo

The Amnéville Zoo is a private zoo located between Metz and Thionville in Lorraine. 2,000 animals of 350 species of the 5 continents are grouped on 16 acres. The zoo is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums and other recognized organizations.

The Safari of Peaugres

The Thoiry’s animal park

The Thoiry’s animal park is a zoo located in the Thoiry’s Castle (Region of Yvelines). It covers 150 hectares (among the 380 hectare of the domain) has 46 mammal species (550 animals), 26 bird species (132 individuals), 9 reptile species (33 individuals) and 10 invertebrates species.
It includes a more traditional zoo and a botanical park of 126 hectares including several gardens: gardens fall, perfumes, English, maze, rose garden, etc.

Parc des Félins

Parc des Félins is a zoological park in France dedicated to the breeding and conservation of wild members of the Cat family. It is located in the commune of Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux in Seine-et-Marne, about 53.6 km (33.3 mi) southeast of Paris. The park covers an area of 60 hectares (150 acres). Of the 41 recognized species of felines in the world, the park has 30 different species and subspecies, with a total of 140 cats.
The park opened to the public on October 14, 2006. Originally, the majority of the animals came from the Parc d'Aulneau, which was deemed too small to house this many animals.

Vélib’ is the biggest bike-sharing in the world run by the Paris Town Hall since 2007. With over 20,000 bikes covering the city, available 24/7 all year long in 1,800 bike stations located every 300 meters, Vélib’ offers you an alternative way to move around Paris.
You can visit the entire city by bike, from the Eiffel Tower to the Champs Elysées, the Louvre museum and even the Sacré Coeur of Montmartre.

The Paris Marathon
