In particular, it raises\nquestions regarding the nature of the ordered world and the ontological\nvariability of the world&rsquo;s constituent entities. Especially between\n\u00ab\u00a0natural\u00a0\u00bb entities and \u00ab\u00a0manufactured\u00a0\u00bb entities emerged a\nnew mixture of relations to life, the so-called \u00ab\u00a0bio-objects\u00a0\u00bb, that\nis useful to explore for a best understanding of the reconfiguration of\n\u00ab\u00a0life\u00a0\u00bb. The goal is to study relational ontologies, or rather the\nlife&rsquo;s modes of existence, while empirically addressing the nature of specific\nbio-objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grounded on a socio-anthropological approach, we empirically explore a\nspecific bio-object: genetic resources. We sought to empirically relate plant\nand animal \u00ab\u00a0genetic resources\u00a0\u00bb to the practices in which they are\nenacted and thus come into being as \u00ab\u00a0resources\u00a0\u00bb, thus bringing\nawareness to potential practices that enact alternative realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, we first argue that the vernacular category of\n\u00ab\u00a0resource\u00a0\u00bb is overly simplistic given the ontological fluctuations\nassociated with the practices in which these bio-objects are enacted. Second,\nwe assert that several forms of living entities are enacted via different\npractices and that they vary in agency. This agency results from multiple\nfactors that we identify in our analysis. We conclude with this kind of\nbio-object, connected to life, and able to support variable ontologies that are\ngradually describing the space that exists between being and
